meet of champs...

the top relay team, the top 8 in freestyle, and the top 4 in backstroke in isaac's age group were invited to the meet of champs.  isaac was able to swim them all.  it was a hot day and even though them swam inside one of the local high schools we had to hang out outside between isaac's events.  which meant we were there for several hours.  but isaac did a great job and we always love watching him.  it was a nice way to end the season. june 25, 2011

it's been so dang HOT...

the other day we had to get creative.  the boys wanted to go out and play but it is really warm and we are on water restrictions so i can't turn the sprinklers for them.  i told them to just jump in the shower get all wet and then run outside.  they didn't think that was such a great idea, but then i offered to dump water on them if they went outside and that sounded much better.  i think i ended up dumping 10+ gallons of water on them with an old milk bottle that we filled up in the house.  it kept them outside long enough for dad to get home.

happy birthday, we love you! june 11. 2011.

while dad was at the swim meet with isaac and beck. we put a birthday party together for him.  he wanted a trainer so he could ride his bike and not have to go out in this crazy hot weather.  so everything was wheel themed.  we did circle sandwhiches and chips, circle decorations, and cupcakes cause their pretty much the right shape.  the cupcakes were really yummy they were buttermilk chocolate cupcakes with mint infused whipped cream on top.  they made both the boys and their dad happy.  that night we went to yao's which is yao mings chinese resturant for dinner.
